So...you want to help horses. That's great. It is exactly what we are here to do and we want to help you help the horses. Many people don't know how to get started because they feel that one single voice doesn't count for anything. We have to change that attitude. One voice counts for a lot! Even if you just let your friends know what you stand for, what you support, or what you want to help do in your life it makes a difference.
"So, what can I do?" Get the word out! You need to tell others in the world that we have to stop the slaughter and the unnecessary abuse and brutality of one of the worlds most beautiful and very intellegent creature, the horse!
Here are some ways to help you get started:
- Become a SaveHorses Member. SaveHorses members are dedicated to helping our friend the horse and in assuring that SaveHorses will be able to continue to help horses by providing a monthly donation of $15.00 or more. Their donations go 100% to the horses, their care and their facilities. We currently have no paid staff which allows us to operate pretty cheap and allow more funds to benefit the horses in need.
- By making a contribution to ‘SaveHorses' will help us to rescue horses that are unwanted or 'In need' of help. Unwanted horses are the ones that are bound for the slaughterhouse. We don't want to see that happen!!!
- You can go to our flyer and banners page. There you will find flyers (in pdf format) that you can download, print, and hang in your area. Even if you just hang one at your nearest pet store you will be doing a lot of good. You will also find banners and other link buttons that you can put on your website to link to us and help us get the word out.
- If you live in the central California area you can even help us (hands on)! If you 18 or older, love horses, and want to see them have a better life, you can voulnteer and work with us at ‘SaveHorses'. For more information please e-mail us at info@savehorses.com.
- You can also tell people about horse slaughter and animal cruelty. You would be amazed how many people in the United States have no idea that our precious horses are being sent to slaughter houses, packed and shipped to other countries around the world for human consumption. Education is the key!
